Abu Dhabi's energy sector is looking for experienced Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineers and EOR Specialists to join their field development teams. This is a solid opportunity for anyone with a deep technical background in reservoir management who wants to work on some of the most complex oil and gas fields in the Middle East with a focus on sustainable production.
Role Overview and Primary Tasks
In this position, you will be responsible for creating and updating high-resolution numerical models to predict how fields will behave over time. The EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) Specialist side of the role involves designing and implementing techniques like gas injection or chemical flooding to get the most out of every well while keeping an eye on environmental impact.
- Conduct comprehensive reservoir simulation studies using advanced industry software.
- Perform history matching and forecast future production scenarios.
- Develop and monitor EOR pilot projects and full-scale implementations.
- Work closely with geoscientists and drilling teams to optimize well placement.
Requirements and Qualifications
The team is looking for people who don't just know the theory but have real-world experience in the field. Here is what is expected:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (a PhD is a plus).
- At least 10 to 15 years of experience in reservoir engineering, specifically simulation.
- Expert-level skills in software like Eclipse, Petrel RE, or tNavigator.
- Strong understanding of fluid thermodynamics and rock-fluid interactions.
