Avery Dennison is looking for a skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to join their plant team in Cramlington, UK. Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will work closely with site leadership and operational teams to identify process bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and implement sustainable continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen, 5S, and Lean methodologies.
- Lead and facilitate Lean continuous improvement projects across plant operations.
- Analyze operational workflows and key metrics to reduce defect rates and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Provide operational excellence training and mentoring to plant operators and supervisors.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain management teams to streamline material flow across production lines.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Certification: Six Sigma Green Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven track record of driving continuous improvement programs within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Skills: Deep understanding of root-cause analysis tools (such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams), process mapping, and change management strategies.
