A Multinational Manufacturing Company on Egypt is seeking for a highly qualified candidate for the Position of:
Job Title: Mechanical Department Manager:
JOB PURPOSE
To provide Refinery Mechanical and Workshop services so that production losses are minimized, technical efficiencies maintained and plant availability to agreed levels is achieved
Job Description:
- Reporting to Engineering Sr. Dep. Manager
- To liaise with the Production Dept, Raw Sugar Unloading, Retail & Shift Supervisors / Foremen in order to ensure day-to-day problems are identified and dealt with.
- Prepares work schedules for the Shift Engineering, Condition Monitoring& Planned Maintenance, Mechanical Workshop and Berth 30 operations in order to achieve acceptable reliability standards within agreed budgets so that output is affected as little as possible.
- Ensures mechanical maintenance is carried out to the required safety, engineering and product quality assurance standards, on schedule.
- To identify and organize plant replacement when required.
- To ensure all Shift Mechanical Engineering, Condition Monitoring & Planned Maintenance and Workshop practice meet the requirements of appropriate legislation & Company policy. To ensure mechanical equipment within the Refinery operation meets legal & company requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering Degree & Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
- Knowledge & experience unlikely to have been achieved in less than 10 years post qualification experience.
- Experience: Emergency repairs, total failure of mechanical plant & rehabilitation of plant back to operating condition, repair of major boiler failure, steam turbine failure
- Knowledge of power generation and allied technologies.
- Experience of working within process industries (preferable food or chemical) with heavy mechanical plant to include centrifuges and vacuum pans.
- Preferably experienced in recognized mechanical standards such as ASTM, ASME, BS etc.
- English Level 4, Equivalent to “Advanced Working Proficiency“in TOEIC Test.
- Training in: Full knowledge of all mechanical workshop activities (welding, fabrication, air conditioning etc)
- Knowledge of maintaining gearboxes, pumps
- Full knowledge of out in the field maintenance (refinery including safety)
- Full knowledge of all boiler operations
- Power generation systems, steam turbines, diesel generators
- Hydraulics
- Knowledge of HVAC
- Report writing
- Technical report skills
- Computer literate ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
